Hey guys, the name is Cameron Harris; from Florida. I figured before we get into the nitty gritty on my build, I figured I would start of by giving you guys a little insight on myself. For as long as I could remember I have also been the type of person that wanted to figure out how things worked, from taking apart vcrs(if some of you guys still know what those are) and all of my toys, as a child, to eventually working my way up to go karts and cars in my teens and adulthood.
Once I got turned 16, I got a my first car which was a 98 Honda accord, needless to say that didn’t last long when a buddy and I decided to do a little rally racing. Shortly after parting that out, I used the funds to buy my next first car, a base model 1986 Nissan 300zx. At that point it all went down hill, little did I know would these cars become and addiction and pretty much my career.
Fast forward some years and I put my self throw welding school, work a few automotive fab jobs and then finally decided to start my own business; Pucker Factory Fabrication, which caters to automotive fabrication of all sorts and making parts specifically for the 1984-1989 300zx.
Alright, now that the little personal intro is out of the way, I will give you guys a little background on the build car. It’s went through many stages over the past many years of owning it. Heres how it looked basically right after I got it many moons ago, your plain jane, stock 86 gl 300zx.
Then fast forward some more years when I started getting a little more money and it got some wheels, na2t swap, s13 rear suspension, stance coilovers, and some fancy paint.
Then fast forward some more years and I decided it was time for a v8 swap and what better way to go about it than picking an oddball v8, just so I could be the first one to put one into a z31.
Now some may ask why Pikes Peak? Well since I could remember it has always been a dream of mine to race the great mountain. To be honest it’s always been a dream of mine to race quite a few tracks around the country. So I figured why not make a dream a reality and build my car to take me where I want to go.
Well that’s all for now, I do appreciate you guys checking out my blog and would greatly appreciate it if you guys would give it a follow for future updates, because it’s going to move quickly.
